National Police Week 2013 |
Each year, National Police Week centers on May 15th. It is a time to honor Law Enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate price.
May 15th (regardless of what day it falls on) is Peace Officers Memorial Day. In 1962, President JFK signed it into existence. And every year, on that day, a Memorial Service is held to remember fallen officers.
Then, the whole week surrounding May 15th is declared to be National Police Week. This year it runs May 12-18, 2013. National Police Week has now developed into a series of events in Washington DC which attracts tens of thousands of Law Enforcement officers.
The primary sponsors of these events include the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF), the Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP).
We also want to honor the heroism of Law Enforcement officers. So Public Safety Stores is offering a 20% discount on all Law Enforcement orders during this week.
